The Society of Radiographers of Trinidad & Tobago (SRTT) recently received a welcomed  laptop computer donation from industrial company Wilcox Industries, Miami, Florida, USA. They also have offices in Caracas, Venezuela.

Wilcox Industries provides various industrial services including silver recovery from old NDT and medical x-ray films. They are an authroised centre for x-ray film recycling, EPA certified and registered with PDVSA in the United States.

They visit many hospitals, medical centres and imaging facilities to purchase old x-ray films and are HIPPA compliant in order to maintain all patient and doctor confidentiality. Wilcox Industries purchase all types of films such as mammograms, MRI, PET, CT, Orhtopaedic, Chiropractor, unused and others. They provide pricing, pick up and transportation of the discarded films.

Vice President of the SRTT, Mr. Aleth Bruce was on hand to receive the donation from Mr. David Wilcox and Mr. Ulisses Rivera, representatives of Wilcox Industries. The presentation took place on the 25th of May, 2012. The Society would like to express its sincere grattitude to the Wilcox group for its thoughtful gesture and wish them the best in their future ventures.
