64-year-old female with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy.
MRI of the brain was requested to rule out secondary spread of the cancer (metastasis).
Routine MRI with contrast was performed with axial, sagittal and coronal images, which revealed an (extra-axial intermediate T1/T2 signal) ovoid shaped lesion. The lesion enhanced non-uniformly upon contrast (gadolinium) administration There was no associated edema (swelling), pressure due to mass effect, thickening of the adjacent dura or any change in the subjacent cranial vault.
Features were suggestive of a benign meningioma.
